Portrait & Figure Drawing Workshops

Two seperate workshops brought to you by The McCloskey Hotel. 

Break-out your creative side! Come for either one or both workshops. Morning is figure drawing for beginners, and afternoon is portraiture for beginners.

Julia Shure will be visiting Chesterville from Toronto to lead these informative sessions. Check-out her artwork at juliashure.com.

Cost is $60 for one, and $100 for both. Some materials provided. Lunch also served for those staying for the day.

Tyler Kealey

Tyler Kealey is a versatile singer, songwriter and piano player. With influences like Elton John and Supertramp, his energy, talent, and story-telling ability have made him a favourite within the Ottawa music scene.

Tyler released a 5 song EP, Spotlight Sanctuary, in 2004, and in 2009 released his first full-length album, Characters, to a sold-out crowd at the Black Sheep Inn, where Kevin Hearn of the Barenaked Ladies opened the show. Three of Tyler's songs from this album were featured in Shaky Grounds, an indie film directed by Ron Leach.

Figure Drawing Workshop

Figure Drawing Workshop for beginners! Learn how to sketch and draw the human form in this one day intensive workshop. We will be exploring different media; pencil, charcoal, and conté, and will be discovering artisic tools such as positive and negative space. The cost of this one day beginner class, taught by Toronto artist Julia Shure (juliashure.com) is $120.
